Smoke Gray Pine The Chelsea Dining Table is featured in our Bella Antique Collection and is made of solid reclaimed pine wood. The reclaimed wood used to manufacture this table was likely a door on a 100-year-old barn before being repurposed for this table. With reclaimed wood and natural materials – markings, cracks, scratches, etc. are natural characteristics and inherent in the materials. Bella Antique Collection products are made with natural stone, antiqued metal, concrete, and reclaimed wood. These products include unavoidable variation in color, texture, uneven grain, blemishes, scratches, marks, and cracks. These features are not defects, but rather the material’s natural characteristics. Cracks can grow or appear over time as the reclaimed wood/natural materials acclimate to their environment. Historically, we’ve seen cracks increase in size or appear on our reclaimed wood products during the wintertime – when its colder outside, users will turn on the heat inside which decreases the humidity and moisture levels of the item’s environment, causing cracks to appear or increase in size on the wood. The crack to the table’s pedestal is not a defect nor damage, but rather a natural characteristic of the table. We are not able to approve a replacement base as the table is up to standard. We recommend against purchasing a replacement base as it will likely have similar characteristics that are being claimed in this table.
